Summer

Ah, it’s that time of the year. School’s finished, few graduations to go, couple parties and hitting the beach. It has been a rather eventful week so far. I went 3 different graduations and I can’t imagine what it’ll be like in one year when I get up and walk on that stage. But that’s another post. But here, it’s all about the events with friends to celebrate the end of one chapter and beginning of the new one.
AlumniSwim
Kimb and I were invited to our high school alumni swim meet to compete with the current swim team. Our team and the alumni team tied. I’m definitely proud of our high school swim team! We have pretty great swimmers and some of them definitely whupped our butts! It was really great to see our coaches and some of the swimmers. Definitely brought us some old memories! It was nice start before all the graduation parties. Kimb’s was first up and we ate all the delicious Korean foods then partied and exchange some hugs and gifts.
StrawberryFest
Second party was Janice’s and we pretty much stuffed ourselves with Chinese-Korean foods before heading to Strawberry Festival. The Strawberry Supreme was delicious! Whipped cream topped on big chunks of strawberries over ice cream and shortcake. Yummy thing and the festival was like mini county fair.

Then lastly, there was a Memorial Day beach party at Huntington beach. It was beautiful weather, not too hot and not too cold, just right! BBQ, some snacks and sunblock with friends are exactly what the whole day was like. Some friends came and some of us were able to say goodbyes to few dearest friends. That will be another post. We ended it with the traditional bonfire and storytelling. Great ending to the week full of events!

With everything happening, I can feel the anticipation of graduating and entering “real world.” At the same time, I can only hope time will last long for me to get every moment with friends and family. Next year will be my year! Here to the new year! :)
