Before I start, I got a picture of Fried Kool Aid from Jeff’s Facebook! (Thanks, Jeff!)
See the sugar glaze? It’s mixed with Grape Kool-Aid as well! Sweet stuff!
Okay, the third day was just as fun as the day before! We decided to have a walk around the famous Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. We did not really exactly had a plan but gosh, it was fun! Started out by heading to Fisherman’s Wharf where we ate at Chowder’s (I think?). Jeff got something that looked like a seafood gumbo in sourdough bowl and I ordered Fried Sampler. Yummy stuff! (psst, we found another Corgi! But Jeff took the picture as I was munching the fried calamari, hee!)
Then we spotted an old arcade, Musee Mecanique. This is a definitely a place to visit! So many old games and little machinery that you don’t see much in arcades or Round1! It was pretty nostalgic trip there, haha.
You had to squeeze as hard as you can. And the meter works according to your age. Well, Jeff still have a lot more work to do!
Laughing Sal. This guy is about 6 feet tall and the most scariest laugh I’ve heard. I do not know why little kids would be entertained by it. I’m somewhat spooked by him! And I could hear his laugh all the time! (People kept dropping quarters in it!)
I was so excited by this! He beat me though but they don’t make this kind any more in metal forms with little glass cage! I had fun even though it took forever to knock down.
Then we ran to visit the Aquarium of the Bay. Small aquarium but still so beautiful! We got to walk underground to see what it’s like to be under the pier! We were literally under the pier and so much sea life there!
Ever seen a sea urchin eating something? This guy was on the glass wall so we got to see its tiny teeth munching on sea weed! Something we don’t see often!
One of my favorite shots! We were really fascinated by its number of legs, ha. We eventually found 4-legged ones.
This was under the pier and it was soo cool seeing right in the middle!
Then we got hungry so a quick snack at Hot Spud. Think Chipotle but with baked potatoes!
Afterward, we stayed at the hotel for an hour or so before heading to the pier for 4th of July celebration! We walked to Fisherman’s Wharf and decided to go to pier. The pier was crowded and Jeff felt like we wouldn’t be able to see fireworks. But once it exploded, it was just right in front of us! (There were two happening at the same time!) Jeff has all the pictures (since he had a tripod) and it was awesome!
Then ate at WipeoutGrill before hitting the bed! :)
